When I visited rizal park to meet Mr. Ken Montegrande of NPDC I took some photos from the Children’s Playground. According to him it has been neglected for almost 2 decades, but with the help of some UP Art Students the Children’s Playground become more livelier than ever.

Being a hero may require a lot of things especially your dedication in doing things…

I can’t disagree with you Suzanne. But I really mean you don’t need to die for your country to be a hero or do what Dr. Jose Rizal did to be called hero.
For instance, CNN 2011 Awardee Efren Peñaflorida.
For me, what the student did for the public playground is heroic in little ways.
Best regards and thanks for commenting.

Jhong, congrats on being one of the top EIB!
I failed to visit the newly renovated Rizal park when I was there in Manila. I had plenty of chances as I had toured visiting friends and relatives around the city last June. But everytime I brought up the idea of stopping by Rizal Park, they were not keen of doing so, and preferred to skip it. Maybe because it was noontime and you know the weather. If it wasn’t raining, the temperature was scorching hot. Some of my visitors did visit the park (I wasn’t around due to work) and witnessed the fountain lights.
